Compassionate In-Home Euthanasia

on the Gold Coast

Saying goodbye to a beloved dog or cat is one of the hardest decisions a pet owner can face.

At HousePaws Mobile Vet, we provide peaceful, compasisonate

in-home euthanasia for pets across the Gold Coast.

How to Know It's Time

Deciding when to say goodbye is deeply personal. Signs it may be time include:

  • Persistent pain or discomfort
  • Difficulty with daily activities
  • Loss of enjoyment in activities they once loved
  • More 'bad days' than 'good days'
  • Reduced interaction with loved ones / hiding away
  • Giving you a 'look' to say they have 'had enough'.

I had the pleasure of meeting Dr Angela just a few weeks ago, and what a wonderful veterinarian she is!!

She spent almost 2 hours assessing my (almost 14 year old) German Shepherd, explaining everything that my girl required, and was no more expensive than a usual vet’s surgery.

Unfortunately for us, my dog had an accident a week ago, and we had to call on Dr Angela, who came out of hours, the very next morning, before she had to fly to Sydney, to put our old girl out of her obvious misery. 😢

Dr Angela was absolutely amazing. She was here for an hour, and talked us through the whole process, giving us time to say our goodbyes as Kaias last moments progressed. Not having the processed rushed through, and Dr Angela’s calm, professionalism made a very sad event an actual beautiful one for our old girl. She simply fell asleep in her own bed.

Dr Angela LOVES animals, and after finding her ( thank you SO MUCH Natalie for recommending her to me!) I would never take another pet of mine to a different vet, and I had a really good one before meeting Angela, so no disrespect to others for sure!

Without a doubt Dr Angelas intervention and prescription changes made the last few weeks of my old girls life considerably more comfortable ( she was palliative) but most importantly to me and my family, she made that last morning so beautiful for my old girl. With Dr Angela’s help Kaia simply lay in her bed, in her favourite spot, and while we held her, she fell asleep.

Dr Angela is an ANGEL with a silent ‘A’. ♥️🐾

We recently needed a vet for our precious Lilly of 13 years, who was always absolutely petrified of going to the vet. We contacted Dr Angela for a home visit and a quality of life check, and we are so incredibly grateful we did.

Dr Angela was compassionate, gentle, and truly kind from the moment she walked through our door. She treated Lilly as if she were her own, taking the time to do a thorough full-body check while making her feel safe and comfortable. Her knowledge and care were so reassuring.

She later came back to help our Lilly cross the rainbow bridge. On such a heartbreaking morning, she was nothing short of amazing. She treated Lilly with such dignity and respect, and never once made her feel like anything less than a cherished member of our family. You can truly see the love she has for what she does.

We highly recommend Dr Angela for routine check-ups, but even more so if you need someone compassionate and gentle to help your beloved fur baby peacefully over the rainbow bridge. We couldn’t have asked for a kinder soul to guide us through such a difficult time.

Dr Angela was our vet for our darling greyhound in her senior years. I cannot recommend highly enough the care and compassion Dr Angela extended towards our beloved girl and in turn us. We had tried other vet clinics but always felt we were just a number. With Dr Angela our appointments never felt rushed and that our concerns were valid. Having Dr Angela come to our home reduced any anxiety for us and our fur baby.

HousePaws Mobile Vet, Dr Angela, assisted with the passing of our precious pet Robyn. I was distraught, heartbroken at what I knew had to happen. It was time to let our loyal companion of 15 years rest, no more pain, no more suffering.

The minute Dr Angela entered the house, her gentle reassuring manner, I found calming. She noticed immediately that one of Robyn's legs was shaking & moved her to a more comfortable position so the shaking stopped. I was grateful for the tenderness shown Robyn. Dr Angela talked me through everything, gave me time to prepare. She encouraged me to let the other pets say Goodbye too & I think that was beautiful. Our other dog is nervous around strangers but this lovely vet, worked around her & allowed her to stay with Robyn the whole time. She encouraged me to take as long as I needed saying Goodbye.

I would highly recommend Dr Angela, to help with any of your pets needs.

We’re incredibly grateful for Dr Angela from House Paws Mobile Vet.

For the past year or so, she took such wonderful care of our elderly poodles, and having her visit them at home made vet care so much less stressful. They genuinely looked forward to seeing her — treats helped, but it was really her calm, loving energy that won them over. Dr Angela has an amazing way with animals and is a fantastic communicator with owners too.

When our dogs needed palliative care and, eventually, to be put to sleep, we were especially thankful to have her support. Her kindness, compassion, and professionalism made an incredibly hard time more peaceful. Knowing our dogs could pass away gently at home, surrounded by love, brought us great comfort.

We can’t recommend Dr Angela from House Paws Mobile Vet highly enough

Angela came out to assist my Labrador peacefully to the rainbow bridge and she was the most kind, compassionate, empathetic vet I have ever met. My dog was comfortable and relaxed for the whole process. She explained everything before it happened so there was nothing to fear which was such a comforting thing in such a heartbreaking situation. Her before and after care was very professional and informative, but also very compassionate and caring. I thoroughly recommend Angela for top quality veterinary care.
